Netgear CEO Criticizes Apple's System and Mr. Steve Jobs
By Ricky Mauch

Netgear CEO Patrick Lo has something burning to say about Apple and its powerfully-choleric CEO. At a speaking engagement in sunny Sydney, Australia, the outspoken Netgear CEO dared to question the future of Apple, while considering the rise of its greatest nemesis Google and the recent hiatus of their CEO. In his own words, Lo said, ?Once Steve Jobs goes away, which is probably not far away, then Apple will have to make a strategic decision on whether to open up the platform. Ultimately a closed system just can?t go that far. If they continue to close it and let Android continue to creep up then it?s pretty difficult as I see it.? And akin to a personal attack to Steve Jobs, Mr. Lo said, ?What?s the reason for him to trash Flash? There?s no reason other than ego.? While the iron is hot, we?ll just leave this case between Steve and Patrick. To add, the analytical Netgear CEO also commented on Microsoft?s WP7 platform, citing that their OS has fallen too far behind and now it is too late. Hmmm. What do you think?
